Kristy Carver Roschke is the Managing Director of the News Co/Lab at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
Kristy graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and then earned a teaching certificate through ASU’s post-degree certificate program. She earned both a master’s in mass communications/digital media and a Ph.D. in journalism and mass communications from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
She has over 15 years of teaching and mentoring young journalists at both the high school and university level. Her specialties include media literacy, digital media, education, writing, public relations strategy, curriculum development and publication design.
Prior to joining ASU, Kristy worked as executive director for the SPOT 127 Youth Media Center at KJZZ and was a journalism instructor and student publication adviser at Sunrise Mountain High School in Glendale.
Her public relations experience includes a position as supervisor for Porter Novelli, account executive for Copithorne & Bellows and public relations specialist with Applied Biosystems.
